HAPPY SPRING Steadfast Patrons of The Arts... While trying to decide upon the perfect blog topic for this beautiful Springtime Season, I asked the ‘powers that be’ (that is Teachers, Staff and Pard) if they had something they wanted me to talk about. As nothing popped right out of their mouths, I decided to blog about THEM! The Teachers and Staff of Time To Shine are the MOST talented, caring, experienced and beautiful people ever assembled under one roof and that is NO exaggeration. Following that train of thought, I started putting 2 and 2 together: if at times I struggle with my (approximately) monthly blog, I can only imagine (love that song) what it must be like for our exalted teachers to continually come up with new, exciting and engaging material for their students to keep them motivated and moving ever onward and upward. Put yourself in their shoes for just a minute... First of all, you have to think about each student in each class, and their individual abilities. Then you must develop a plan that will encompass the strengths of said students, which are always varying from day to day, week to week. For our Dance Teachers, they must decide upon appropriate music, then create choreography to happily fit the chosen music. For our Music, Voice and Acting Teachers, they are always on the hunt for new, up-to-date tunes and selections that can be applied to each particular class. Our Art Teacher is constantly thinking ahead of new projects for her students. Once they decide upon the new curriculum, they must then envision implementation and present the selected course of study in a positive and mostly INSPIRING manner, hoping against hope they will discover that place in their student’s minds and hearts that CLICK and discover what we all desire: LOVE and LONGING, sometimes even OBSESSION for THE ARTS! This is my fervent wish..that all of our most Precious Parents believe and heed the seriously truthful thoughts I have shared herewith, and appreciate what we are doing FOR your children. Also that these most beloved children take to heart the loving, caring instruction so generously bestowed upon their sweet selves daily from all of us at Time To Shine. Do you stand in total and complete admiration of this group of assembled amazement? Because I surely do! With Heartfelt Musical Sincerity, —Bootsie
